In some cases, the artwork has paint so thick it seems to have been applied straight from the tube. Cucaro’s color-splashed pictures — which included images of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Sausalito waterfront and his daughter, Angelique — caught on, and were a staple for many years at the Cory galleries on Geary Street and at Fisherman’s Wharf.
