California Miners Bank San Francisco 10 D Token Coin Gold Color. I believe these were anniversary coins. I’m unsure when they were remade. We know they’re not golden composition. A little over 1 inch in diameter. I have not seen any other of these types. Nothing can take the place of an original. These are NOT the originals. They do not have any markings saying copy on them.

1850 Colton Voyages California San Francisco Brazil Slave Trade Peru Deck & Port. Walter Colton’s’ Deck and Port’ was an important historical account of the post-war voyages of the USS Congress. This voyage from The Gulf of Mexico, around South America ended in California. Colton describes botanical and scientific discoveries near the equator, including animals and weather phenomena. However, the most interesting topics in this book include his perspective on the treatment of slaves and slave-trading in Brazil. This book also has one of the earliest descriptions of surfing. Nothing here has amused me more than the surf-sports of the young chiefs. Each takes a smooth board, of some eight feet in length, leads it over the coral shallows far out into the sea, and when a tremendous roller is coming in, jumps upon it, and the roller carries him upon its combing top, with the speed of an arrow to the shore. A young American. Ventured out a short distance, and as the roller came, jumped upon his plank, was capsized, and hove, half strangled onto the beach! A D RENFRO (CARDS) K-2204 G F 25c In Trade Token. This coin is exactly how I acquired it. Judging from the spade there was definitely cards going on.. And more than likely liquor and smoking cigars.. More research is needed.. Grab it. It’s a little different than this one. Old old 25 cent and the cents a plus IRVINE S F.. A must for any serious collector you can see the spades all over this one. And another plus this one has rotating going on.. Meaning the front doesn’t align with the back. Also unusual is to have the maker stamp on both sides.
