Fisherman’s Warf San Francisco. 19.35 X 16.5 approx. Is the overall frame size. This looks to be oil on board but it could be acrylic. In March of 1982. It is a painting done on board. However original frame has damage to it. This painting has been in storage since 2007. Born in Orange, NJ on June 10, 1915. Mottola moved with his family to southern California in 1922. During the 1930s he was a scholarship student at Otis Art Institute and in 1941 went to New York City to study with Harvey Dunn. Following service in World War Two, he worked closely with artist Ralph Holmes and for Disney Studios for 12 years. His home was in Santa Barbara until 1982; he then moved to Laguna Hills where he remained until his death on March 24, 2008. His diverse subject matter includes scenes from his travels to Mexico and Europe. Exh: Los Angeles Art Ass’n, 1946. This item is in the category “Art\Paintings”. Painting is signed lower Right , Looks to be T. Upon research of T. Slight , this painting would be from around 1900 and the artist from San Francisco. Measure 16″ x 12″ on Panel board framed , w frame measures 20″ x 16″. The painting does show some wear with some scuffs and scratches. May need a cleaning The frame also shows wear. I will post many photos for you to see the details. There is a piece of wood that is placed on the back to hold the painting secure in the frame.
