North Dome and Half Dome, Merced River. 8 ½ x 6 ½. Rich tonality, shows some light soiling at edges. Bumped corners/edges, two small tears at left border, pencil notations on verso. Is best known for his photographic series of images of burning. After the earthquake of 1906. However, he was a quite active in the California Camera Club photographing landscapes and architecture, receiving several awards for his images as mentioned in The American Amateur Photographer. Examples of his work in. Can be found in Sunset, Volume IV, Nov. 1889 to April 1900 (a publication of the Southern Pacific Company).
