Original 1914 edition but nicely REBOUND. Actual book: Interior shows typical age yellowing/tanning and faint fingermarks to a few pages. A few pages also have minor tears and creases. There may be a couple of small pen marks in the margin but the text appears to be clean; moderate age spotting to top textblock. The rebound binding is sound and sturdy; corners are sharp. Minor rubbing, just slightly more edge/corner wear and a very mild corner bump to cover. Dust jacket: No DJ issued.

The first attempt to locate all of them on a single map was carried out by the writer in 1907, with the aid of Mr. Hill and the statisticians in charge of the offices of the Survey at Denver, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco Messrs. This map of the Western States was included in the annual volume of Mineral Resources of the United States.
