This painting was found in the estate of a long time friend who had a beautiful art collection. It is unsigned and the artist is unknown. The subject is San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill and the famous Coit Tower. The image is 12″ +/- tall x 10″ +/- wide and the canvas measures 19 1/2″ +/- tall x 15″ +/- wide. I would call the style realism. It has been kept in a flat file and has never been stretched, so it will need to be stretched and framed. Jack Laycox grew up in Northern California and after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, took a job producing technical illustrations for the Atomic Energy Commission.
