Sixteen original Civil War era / c. Only ONE has a studio imprint of a San Francisco photographer, the rest are blank. So while all but one of these have studio imprints, I do believe they were likely all taken either in San Francisco or surrounding cities, and possibly as far north as Trinity County. 4″ x 2.5″. Very good antique condition as a whole.

Very Rare pass allowing passage to the city after the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and fire. These passes were to be presented to police or military to allow passage within the city which was closed to prevent looting. If you can find one of these most are signed by military or police Personnel. This rare one is signed by the mayor of the city. It is included with the glass case. This is a great piece of California History.

Made to the exact standards used from 1929 to 1934 by the California State Auto Association. Population and elevation are correct to the 1930 census. I can make this city limit sign for any city or town in California, or any other state. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; they have long since been retired from service. You can expect to pay many hundreds of dollars to obtain one-if any even survive. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without the hassle and expense of tracking one down on the collector’s market. Our San Francisco city limit sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 6 lb. And is 21 by 12 inches.
