Mission San Francisco de Asís (Spanish: Misión San Francisco de Asís), commonly known as Mission Dolores, is a Spanish Californian mission and the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco, located in the Mission District. It was founded on October 9, 1776, by Padre Francisco Palóu (a companion of Junípero Serra) and co-founder Fray Pedro Benito Cambón, who had been charged with bringing Spanish settlers to Alta California and with evangelizing the local indigenous Californians, the Ohlone. Next to the old mission is the newer and larger Mission Dolores Basilica, built in 1918 in an elaborate California Churrigueresque style.

San Francisco Cesar Chavez St. Up for sale today is this Cesar Chavez Street, 3400 block sign. The sign is made to the 1965 specification used by the city of San Francisco to designate this famous street. This is the last style of all-capitals signage before they went to mixed case in 2009. The sign is 36 by 12 inches, which is the same size as the originals, and weighs about 8 pounds, 10 ounces. This is a high quality, heavy steel remake. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Would you like a street name or block number not seen here? Washington was from an old California family. He served as the SLO City Marshal in the 1870s and 1880s, owned the Castle Saloon in the 1880s and 1890s, and later in life served as the City Clerk. Cabinet cards are 6.5″ x 4.25″ and in very good antique condition as a whole.

This is a nice vintage unknown age San Francisco, California glass paperweight with flower decoration. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some minor surface wear as well as some bubbles in the glass & the bottom being rough to the touch and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 3″ in diameter and is 2 1/8″ tall.

Offered here is an original oil painting by California artist Jean Kalisch, circa 1960s. Painting is oil on canvas board and measures 8 x 10 inches. It is signed lower left and titled verso. The overall framed size is 15 x 17 inches. The view is abstracted but appears to be a street scene with figures. Painting is in very good condition in original vintage framing. Jean Kalisch -California Mid Century Modern – San Francisco Cityscape -ca 1960s. Jean Kalisch was born in Japan in the 1927. She began art training as a child but later studied to be a pharmacist. She married, moved to California with her husband in 1954 and settled in San Francisco.
