1976 San Francisco California Numismatic Association 1oz Silver round C5241c9-6(02262025) A clean old piece right here. The little man was used to hold this round, as it didn’t want to stand up on its own. Then wait for you to respond. I’d rather not have to ask at all but some folks only view the main image and read the title… And that can make for some headaches that I’d like to avoid. Thank you in advance! Why stack Plane Jane Silver when you can own a piece of History? ! Some pieces I’ve had since I was a kid (1970s), while others I’ve recently acquired. Either these pieces sell and I’m able to pay my mortgage next month… Or I die and my collection goes to my Granddaughter. If you aren’t happy with my asking price, feel free to shoot me an offer, but please don’t complain. No need for that. Yes, some pieces in my collection I highly value, so you will want to make an offer that’s strong enough for me to part with that item. Some coins, rounds and bars have dings, scratches, toning, smudges, etc. You should be able to see these imperfections in the images provided. I won’t point them out individually, thus the quantity and quality of the images taken. When I handle my silver pieces with white gloves, sometimes the cotton sticks to the edges of the rounds. “1oz” means 1 troy ounce and most of them are not exactly 1oz… Sometimes a bit over, sometimes a bit under. Please view the last image with the scale. Please view all photos to see exactly what I have here. Some coins/bars can be AU or BU or better or worse. I’ll let you decide. If I do not respond, that means your answer is right here in the listing. If you show disrespect in my direction, you will be blocked from doing business with me. I have neither the time nor the patience for disrespectful humans… You will receive exactly what is described in listing and/or shown in photos. If you do not, then we have a problem and I’d like to know about it asap. Making an offer? And if you see a big sale happening, that means I need funds NOW. If you do not see “it” or read about “it”, then “it” is not included. It has nothing to do with this item itself. PHOTOGRAPHY: – Sony A6400 with the Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 lens on the Sony A6400 inside an LED light box, sitting on an old mirror or black surface. Lighting can be tricky so I try to capture each piece at different angles with different types of lighting to show you as much detail as I can. I see some sellers using fake edits or stock images for their pieces. I won’t do that to you. Lots of time spent taking all these photos… But most of my time is spent editing; cropping, adding light, etc. I want each image to be as nice as possible. Yes, I’m a photographer that cares. The amount of toning one sees depends on the light and the angle. Don’t like the total you see? I drive to the post office to get your item(s) safely handed off, so that takes time, gas and wear/tear on my truck. If your package gets lost or destroyed, you’re covered for the amount paid. If that’s a problem, please speak up. NO local pickups, unless otherwise specified in the listing. Quite costly in time and gas. OTHER: – From time to time, I lose items. I try to stay organized, but sometimes it happens. I do not use a telephone to communicate… Besides, I’m getting old and have a bad memory. No time to chat on the telephone (I’m a Grandpa now). I’m a “ONE MAN SHOW” over here. I’m not a large company and I have no employees. I do it all myself. Find ELVIS’ PLACE on Social Media: – Facebook pages Elvis’ Place and E. For those of you that do, I applaud you, as it seems there are fewer and fewer of you out there. I have my entire financial future invested into my inventory. Yes, my “retirement” plan is on my shelves. My place of business is located on an expensive part of planet Earth. Overhead keeps going up. I’m not rich. I own no property. I own no home. Rent is due every month…. Then that mortgage will be due every month. Thanks for keeping this a smooth and simple process.

This is a great Chesleys Jigsaw Puzzle from 1970’s of a San Francisco Cable Car. It is about 13 1/2″ by 10″ in size. It has about 211 pieces. The original box is just an old stationary box with a new label put on it for the puzzle. It is original for the puzzle. I love the image. It has a lot of great detail. The puzzle is in excellent shape with no damage. Below please see more info about the history of Chelsey’s Puzzles. Puzzles Cut by Roland Chesley of Buckfield, Maine, in the 1970s. In the early 1970s we found and commissioned Roland Chesley of Buckfield, ME to cut many puzzles for us. Chesley was in his mid-80s at the time, but had started cutting puzzles shortly after WW II and charged prices comparable to Great Depression prices (penny and a half per piece). He cut in an old barn heated by a wood stove fed with rejects from the nearby dowel mill, even in the dead of a Western Maine winter which could get as cold as 30 degrees below zero (F) with 3′ of snow! Like so many cutters in the 1930s he used pictures from old magazines and calendars, especially Currier & Ives prints, although we supplied him with most of the prints we wanted made into puzzles. His cutting was purely random when we first met but we showed him some of our old family puzzles and he began to employ some color line cutting and figure pieces shortly before his death in the late 1970s.

Large-format circa 1892 Rand McNally promoting the development of South San Francisco. This map was issued to promote the development of South San Francisco as an industrial adjunct to its sister city to the north. The mapmakers have used a number of interesting “persuasive” techniques to enhance the promotional impact of the image. Scale itself is used as a promotional tool, with South San Francisco drawn at a much larger scale than the rest of the map to give it prominence. The city of San Francisco is shown schematically and with a north/south compression of scale. Furthermore, three text boxes extol the area’s benefits, ranging from its sunny weather to the fact that San Mateo county enjoys very low taxation. It is noted that South San Francisco is in position to benefit from its strategic position along the only land approach to the city of San Francisco. San Bruno, which was in existence since the 1860s, is not shown, though San Bruno Station is. Golden Gate Park is drawn in a trapezoidal shape. South San Francisco was incorporated in 1908. Its present borders are considerably different than those depicted on the map. At one time part of the 14,600 acre Rancho Buri-Buri, the site of the city was selected by G. They partnered with some Chicago backers and formed two joint stock corporations, the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, and the Western Meat Company. Swift chose the name of South San Francisco to follow his other holdings in South Chicago and South Omaha. The language in the map reflects this history, treating South San Francisco as a business enterprise. As such this map represents an important historical document for the role of land speculation in late 19th century urban expansion in the San Francisco peninsula. This map was lithographed in four colors. Earnshaw & Punson of Cincinnati, Ohio did the survey work and drew the map, which then engraved and published by Rand McNally & Co. OCLC 83635006 (UC-Berkeley and Yale); 77896810 (Huntington); and 953571798 (Stanford). Reese, 5/03, then Warren Heckrotte Collection (PBA, 2016). Rand, McNally & Co. In 1856, William H. Rand opened a printing shop in Chicago and two years later hired a newly arrived Irish immigrant, Andrew McNally, to work in his shop. In 1868, the two men, along with Rand’s nephew George Amos Poole, established Rand McNally & Co. And bought the Tribune’s printing business. The company initially focused on printing tickets and timetables for Chicago’s booming railroad industry, and the following year supplemented that business by publishing complete railroad guides. The first Rand McNally map, created using a new cost-saving wax engraving method, appeared in the December 1872 edition of its Railroad Guide. Rand McNally became an incorporated business in 1873; with Rand as its president, McNally as vice president, and George Poole as treasurer. Rand McNally published its first road map, the New Automobile Road Map of New York City & Vicinity, in 1904. Bancroft has a copy dated 1891, also by Rand, McNally & Co.

83 x 28 cm (32.7 x 11 in). Within the Golden Gate. This is a delightful bird’s-eye-view of the Bay Area at the end of World War II. The view is centered on the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. The perspective looks east past Mt. Diablo, and runs north past Napa and Sonoma and south to Santa Cruz and Gilroy. What makes this view especially interesting among mid-20th century works that we have seen is a color-coded key system illustrating different economic and demographic sectors of the Bay Area: recreational, industrial, agricultural, and residential. Recreational: this zone is found mostly as a strip along the coast, including fishing on the Russian River, hiking on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, joyriding Skyline Boulevard, visiting the Big Basin redwoods, or sunbathing in Santa Cruz. Industrial: it is interesting to see this zone as a band around San Francisco Bay itself, in an era before much of its coastline has become protected and rehabilitated. Agricultural: northern California’s extensive agricultural lands and products are highlighted, from the vineyards of the North Bay to coastal artichokes to South Bay orchards to the prodigious Central Valley. Residential: a feature of note in this sector are the Bay Area’s famous universities, including Berkeley, Stanford, and Santa Clara. The map offers a splendid variety of illustrations: humorous, informative, and historical. From a San Francisco cable car, to Jack London’s Sonoma home, to a large galleon marking Drake’s supposed landing in 1579, this is a really cool piece.
