Original vintage and huge 16 by 19.5 inch (board is 19 by 24 inch) gelatin silver photograph taken by San Francisco photographer Edward Carroll, whose archive is held in part by the Bancroft Library and the University of California. Not signed or stamped. This portrait is of Hedda Hopper, the gossip columnist (1885 – 1966). This spectacular photograph likely dates from the early 1960s.
