Pre 1970 Cannabis Industry Marijuana Prohibition Rare Polaroid Documents
The associated documents with this photograph were found in the. Truth Tobacco Industry Documents (formerly known as Legacy Tobacco Documents Library) which was created in 2002 by the UCSF Library. Take notice of the last paragraph from the last document. Legacy Tobacco Documents Library. Was built to house and provide permanent access to tobacco industry internal corporate documents produced during litigation between US States and the seven major tobacco industry organizations and other sources. These internal documents give a view into the workings of one of the largest and most influential industries in the United States. Documents Library is an archive of 14 million documents created by tobacco companies about their advertising, manufacturing, marketing, scientific research and political activities, hosted by the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Library. It was formerly known as the Legacy Tobacco Documents Library created in 2002. This Polaroid is an original and one of a kind. Personally I believe its worth much more. This discovered photo exposes behind the scene acts of Government and big tobacco before the Controlled Substances Act’s passage. The cannabis industry is in its infancy and this historical photograph should be preserved and displayed somewhere significant for cannabis history. This Polaroid is on original 4″ x 5″ commercial stock, date code stamped to 1969 Polaroid stock. I’m pretty sure this was taken in succession but this seems to be the only photograph known to have survived or made public. I have done extensive research on this photograph and came to the conclusion based on the supporting documents (and others not listed) and Polaroid date code data that this photograph is related to the subject matter in the documents. Please feel free to ask any questions or for more documents. FYI each document came from a tobacco library and have the document number and a link directly to the document watermarked.
