This etching has artist’s signature in pencil at lower right. It is titled “San Francisco, California Street” and inscribed PP (proof print). The print measures 17 x 14 3/8 inches (plate size). The overall framed size is 30 x 24 inches. The print appears to be in very good condition. Print is under glass with fresh matting and wood framing. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on Feb. 27,1886, Max Pollak studied at the Vienna Academy of Art before settling in San Francisco in 1927. He exhibited landscapes and portraits locally and was active in the local art scene until his death on May 29, 1970 in Sausalito, CA.
