Up for sale is a glorious vintage gentleman’s beaver or plush silk top hat made in the late 19th to early 20th century. This elegant dress hat is lined with tan leather, has a brim reinforced with corded black cotton, an air hole in the center of the top, and the maker’s logo in the center of the inside. The hat comes in a Miller Hats box with a handy carrying handle; the more recent box is not original to the hat. Here is a rare, wonderful and entirely usable piece of antique men’s formal fashion wear, ready for display in a vintage clothing store, or ready for a very special formal or costume event. Size: large, 7 13/16″ front to back, 6″ left side to right side (inside measurements); 22 approx. Condition: outside is very good; inside leather band is torn in places (please see photos).
