For your consideration is a very large map of the San Francisco downtown area. This map appears to originate from building owners and managers association at 68 Post St. It has been estimated that this map was made around 1971. Its construction appears to be of a thick, rigid stock with the map adhered. It is kind of soft and glossy to the touch, but does not appear to have any coating. Lots of really neat details can be found, I found my house! Definitely a conversation starter. You can see tons of old buildings and sites that are no longer in the city. You can find San Francisco landmarks under construction, like the Transamerica building and the BART station. The Broadway tunnel had not yet been built, and there were a lot more parking lots! I cannot understate that this is large. Make sure you have the space to put it on a wall, because I dont! It measures 47 by 37 and weighs 25lb. Its size makes it really fun to look at and pinpoint areas. There are some water spots, which are mostly around the edges. See the photos, as they show most of the water spots. Overall, the shape is not completely flat. There is a uniform curvature to it, likely from humidity? In my opinion, it almost looks natural, but it is there. Other than that, there are some blemishes, which I have tried to capture in photos. My non professional opinion is condition is 7/10. I will gladly deliver this anywhere in the city of San Francisco for free. I would also deliver anywhere in the Bay Area at a rate of 50 cents per mile from SF(calculated one way).
